Diesel Service Center (DSC) Interns assist DSC Technicians in the maintenance and service of diesel powered equipment and vehicles. DSC Interns gain on the job training by working side by side with our team of skilled, knowledgeable and experienced technicians.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Here at Diesel forward we like to keep an upbeat environment. Our focus lies strictly on diesels. We work on a variety of different units. On and off road equipment, light, medium and heavy duty trucks. Our shop will work on anything diesel. We frequently see lawn mowers, cranes, track machines, Lulls and a variety of unique vehicles to keep your skills sharp. We are also equipped with a certified CNG bay, 2 certified CNG inspectors and currently service a fleet of CNG ISX12 G units. Our goal is to do it right the first time. We are equipped with an overhead crane, OEM scan tools, and many specialty tooling to assist technicians with their job and keep them efficient.

We employ the best trained technicians in the industry and are now hiring for a part-time student intern. Diesel Forward is equipped with a toolbox and a basic set of hand tools for you to use as a first year student embarking on your path to determining if this is the career you wish to continue to pursue. Also, as a part time employee you are eligible to participate in Diesel Forward’s 401(k) retirement savings plan. The company provides a matching contribution of up to 6% of an employee’s pre-tax earnings to employees that are enrolled and contributing to the plan.

The goal of our student internship program is to assist in your development into a skilled, certified Diesel Mechanic. Our desire is for our student interns is to retain the skills and knowledge they have learned in school and on the job, and join our team as a full-time employee post-graduation. Requirements and Qualifications: 

Must be actively pursuing a two year degree in heavy duty diesel mechanics or comparable training.
